Conveyance Allowance

The Conveyance Allowance – is paid to parents who convey their child/ren more than 4.8km to school (one way) and is to assist with travel costs.

 

Education Maintenance Allowance

The Education Maintenance Allowance – is for parents who are holders of health care cards, pension cards or similar and is to assist with educational costs.

 

Applications

Application to the Department of Education for these two allowances is made through the administration of the school and is advertised through the school newsletter. This payment is made twice yearly through the school, at the end of the second and fourth terms. Conveyance Allowance is paid every term.

 

Kindergarten

As the Kindergarten receives State Government funding, Kindergarten families with a Health Care Card receive a financial rebate as a deduction from their term 3 and 4 fees from the State Government. You must take your card to the office in Term 1 to claim this rebate, which was approx. $730 in 2009.
